This semester went by a little fast! I'm somewhat glad!!! So we have found out that the new addition will be a GIRL!! Dan and I are so excited! We have Dan Eugene IV, Samantha Jazmine and so I'm thinking Vanessa Rose? Or Victoria Rose (After Aunt Vikki)? Everytime D sees the computer he asks "Sammy is on the compuuuuder, Mom! Silly Baby" Sammy says cute things too! She'll be goofing around, and she'll walk fast in circles and say "Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!" and when she falls on her bum, she puts her hands on her cheeks and says "Ut-Oh"... amazing... The other day I asked a co-worker if there was a set date she's decided to retire on, and she's been mentioning it on and off for a year or so... "when I retire this and that"... A while ago she said that it would be in December and now it's December! hahaha! She is such a spit fire! After I asked her when the big day was and she said, "who knows... so whens the baby due?" And I said March 10th. She says "Oh so in three months!" And it hit me just like a truck...
I'm going to be a mother of three in three months! Suddenly I felt like Sammy in saying "WHoa whoa whoa,..." Then I says to myself, I need another job.
So I've applied to some Credit Unions this evening and a part time position opened up and I applied for that at EITC. I would love to continue working there! The sad thing is that I'm stuck in Idaho Falls until I graduate and there are some positions opening in Boise that I actually might have a fun time doing... bummer, but no worries!
Because the school cut everyone's work study hours, I have to document the time spent job searching in order to keep my food stamps! They want to see five hours a week spent applying for a position. I don't mind, but it makes it rather difficult when Sammy wants to press buttons because thats what mommy is doing! lol! Or finally getting to the last section of an application and D walks up with his Christmas Stories Book and presses the power button on the Lap Top... Ooh little buddy! As he asks "Mom, are you doin homework?... All done!"
It's not that I mind, but that I was done trying to impress someone who doesn't know me at all... temporarily. I've been blessed with jobs that hire me within the first interview or I was offered a position while they were looking at my application. My nerves are just in a shudder of pringles. It's faint, but it's still there! Sometimes it takes a few days for them to get back to Dan for a second interview and the waiting is the most tense feeling ever!
The part that hurts the most about it is well because of our particular situation we would have to move if we did make a comparable position for Dan's degree because of the low income housing. So they take him in for a third interview and never call back. They have told him the hours, clothes for the proper uniform, or even what time they will call by. He's even been slided on jobs within depatment stores because they want him for the electronics department. And nodda! It makes the entire process that more intimidating! But one day I'll look back and laugh... may that day be soon!
