A Wedding

A co-worker was married yesterday!

Our sister was able to watch the kids while we attended a wedding and reception in the Freeman Park. It was an evening short wedding with good food afterward. We barbequed with chips and drinks. Then the sun set and they broke out the glow in the dark sticks and silly string. Everyone grabbed a paint bottle and we all squirted it on the wedding dress. We all got carried away with the helium tank, cupcakes, jelly ball war, and human glow stick "horse shoes".

We left early enough to put the kiddos to bed. A BIG Thanks to Heather for helping out with such short notice. And of course, a huge congratulations honeymooners, Sierra and Aerica!

Rosie Pie

Rosie had been excited for her Birthday Party for weeks. We went to the park last week and when a group of people arrived, she opened her arms really wide, started to run toward them, and said, "My Birthday Party is HERE!!!!"

She is a "hand-full" but definitely worth every minute of it. Potty training has had to be on her motivations. This last month we had another talk about differences in wearing underwear and diapers, and has been making definite strides toward being a "big girl" now. I love how the girls are so close in age, but sometimes not close enough. For a while my four year old wanted alone time, or I would hear something in accordance with, "Mom, Rosie keeps bugging me."

We invited family and friends to Rosie's 3rd Birthday Party on the 14th of March for a Pie Party. The pies were all a big hit. (None of them made it to the following afternoon.)  A family member brought Strawberry Pie, and the rest were made from cupcake pans. I had made Banana Cream and Coconut Cream; however, by the time the Apple Pies were finished, so was I. I had planned and prepped for Chocolate Cream, Peach, Butterscotch, Peanut Butter and Chocolate, and Cheesecake. Between cleaning, cooking, mommy-ing, and trying to be a good hostess, my check list wasn't all crossed off by the end of that day. One gallon of bubbles, some games, and Chewbacca ready in the backyard and the kids were hooked. The kids are still having fun with the remnants of pin the tail on the donkey. I was so glad it came with numbered stickers instead of the pin.

Even though I'm still picking up and finding balloon fragments from the battle, the war hasn't ended, because they are still finding balloons for me to blow up. Not to mention the dishes are still racked up. The torture of dishes shall commence in T minus 3, 2, 1....

A New Adventure!

In January this year we went to Roberts, Idaho to find a pup! He came from a litter of 14 and was born on Thanksgiving morning 2014. We wanted a young pup because the kids in our house are so young I didn't want to correct any bad habits. We named him Chewbacca, but we can't resist calling him "Chewy."
(If interested, he is a pug and lab/pit mixture)
I don't have any photos yet of our mutt but he is adorable! Our sweet neighbor is always admiring him.
Even though we have had to go through the potty training, I've enjoyed the rest of his training. He is such a sweet and smart little pup! He enjoys the kids, the local dog park, and likes to play... a lot. He has already picked up on "sit, down, up-up, inside, outside, kennel, stay, come", but I want to see if I can get any really fun ones, like, "roll over ad play dead"...

Well I noticed the time and the family is getting HUnGrY!!!!! Almost 8pm yikes! Calling it close tonight. The time change really has messed up something with recognizing what time it is with the sun position this time. Hopefully next time I'll have some recent photos and more on this years trips and events (and it won't take me as long to write another log)
